The strangest thing happened on the way to a food fair: the greatest underdog story since Rocky. Never in the modern history of the NBA has a player been cut by two teams and while on the verge of being waived by his third, he was given an opportunity and he seized the opportunity with both hands and ran with it. He
has been instrumental in leading his team to 9 wins in 11 tries. If you were not aware New York Knicks were not tearing it up prior to young Lin coming aboard. He has gotten so big that kids are on the playground name checking Lin. So what does this have to do with Waffles? Nothing really.
Jeremy Lin is the hottest thing in internet searches right now and only a fool wouldn’t mention him when that could increase the opportunity for your pages to be Googled. David Letterman has been mentioning him everyday for the past week. So why wouldn’t we want to mention him? JK.
It has been a while since you have heard from us. So here is what is going on with Pinx. We have won the favor of a business in Menlo Park (yes the land of money) so that we are now providing them our creations on a monthly basis. They have been the inspiration for the Brownie Obsession Waffle…details to follow. We have established our beachhead in Globodyne HMO…can you believe it? The Globodyne HMO has become addicted to our Sweet Potato Pie Waffles, Peach Cobbler Waffles, and Crack Honey Rolls. Can you hear my sinister Dr. Evil laugh? And yes, my pinky finger is raised to the corner of my mouth. Mwah hah hah hah hah hah hmmm. We have found a new farmers market – can you say exposure. We have begun to rework our business plan…as you know this plan/path we have been on is quite arduous. We are working on our funding streams that will allow us to get that Food Truck. Speaking of food trucks we have a plan to get a fleet of trucks, a breakfast/lunch location out of which we can catering in the evenings. The truck itself will be a delivery vehicle that will provide our wafflepallooza to the world, or at least the greater bay area to start.
In order to make this happen we will need good people. Monk, Number 1, Chef, Florence, the Government Twins, Benjamin Button, and now Uncle Id. Uncle has all kinds of ideas for us. He is definitely invested in us– from an intellectual capital standpoint. He has met with us weekly to discuss our next steps from marketing, packaging, test groups, and even angel investors. It takes a village to raise a child. And I guess, our baby is the child that everyone in our village is invested in raising. Hey we appreciate it. We want this baby to get out of diapers and to start walking on its own.
Life is short…eat something memorable.
